Our Favorite Spring Phones '19

Our Favorite Spring Phones '19

There have been quite a few phone announcements within this last year- most notably, the foldable smartphone craze. With all of the new leaks and news regarding upcoming models, we thought we’d go over some of our favorites that have already been released- some are popular, but some might have flown under your radar. Check them out!

ZTE Blade Max 2s

The ZTE Blade Max 2s dropped October 31st, overshadowed by bigger releases like the OnePlus 6T, which was released only a day earlier. However, the Blade Max 2S shouldn’t be overlooked- when it comes to affordable smartphones, ZTE is king. With a very affordable price point, the phone still boasts features like a 13 MP camera and a 4000 mAH battery- what more can you ask for in a mid-tier smart phone?!

Moto G7 / Moto G7 Plus

The Moto G6 was one of our favorite budget phones back when it released in April of 2018. Now we have the successor in the Moto G7, an upgrade in every way. Our favorite features on this one definitely go to the display- at 6.2 inches and virtually no bezels to speak of, browsing has never been easier. Add in 4K video shooting on duel back cameras and the G7 remains at the very top for budget phones.

Sony Xperia 10 and Xperia 10+

The Sony Xperia 10 is an interesting phone, to say the least. After a rebranding from the Xperia X10 to the more simplified Xperia 10, this one was highly anticipated after numerous leaks and a prolonged release. Luckily, Sony delivers on this phone in one big way: Video. With a unique 21:9 display, watching video just seems right on this phone- and we expect nothing less from anything developed by Sony!

Galaxy S10

Ok. So you’re probably pretty familiar with this one, but in case you aren’t. we’ll give you a quick rundown on this 2019 flagship. The S10 is the newest release in the extremely popular Galaxy S line of smartphones, featuring an extremely impressive camera (including the new 16 mp ultra-wide lens). Combined with a 1.4 millimeter pixel size on all these photos, this phone provides some of the best mobile photography on the market. We also love the hole-punch notch and all the innovative wallpapers that come with it.

BLU R2 Plus 2019

Blu offers the price of an affordable phone, but with the look of a premium model. It’s always been the staple of Blu products, and the R2 Plus is no exception! You can’t go wrong with Blu if you want to keep the high end look with an extremely affordable budget.

Nokia 9 Pure view

This one is a no brainer. The Nokia 9 Pureview is WEIRD. Like, really weird. The design is unlike anything we’ve ever seen. Oh yeah. You know what I’m talking about. THAT. The strange camera pattern on the back makes this phone easily identifiable, and that’s why we love itAnd you know what the best part is? We love it. It’s new, the cameras themselves take lovely photos, and it gives the phone a personality that’s just been lacking on the smartphone market for a while now.

LG G8

The LG G8 is just a reliable workhorse. Premium specs, quality camera, fast… this phone just has everything you need in a smartphone and is one of the most well-rounded phones on the market. You just can’t go wrong with this one!

What we're excited for!

Nuu Mobile G4

6.2 inch display. 16 and 8 mp cameras. Expandable storage. Wireless charging. Android Pie. 6 gigs of Ram. All for $199?! What’s not to like?! Nuu Mobile released the G3 back in March of 2018, and we’ve been sitting in anticipation for the G4 ever since. The G4 looks to be an upgrade in almost every way, all while retaining that low price tag and stunning design. Of course, it will look even more stunning inside of a Tudia case!

OnePlus 7

No notch! Probably anyway. POTENTIALLY 5G, no confirmed yet, probably will be a separate model. Premium specs at mid-tier prices, as we’ve come to know and love with OnePlus. The OnePlus 7 and 7 pro are taking a shot at a completely bezel-free screen, teasing a pop-out front facing camera. This is… well, interesting, to say the least. We’re excited to see how this will work, and if it is a proper way to get that full screen without completely eliminating the selfie camera.
